The size of groove welds that extend only partly through the joint shall be specified in parentheses on the welding symbol [see Figure 12(A), (C), and (F)]. 6 Depth of Bevel and Groove Weld Size Specified. ” For square groove welds, only the groove weld size, “(E),” is shown (see Figures 14 and 17). 7 Depth of Bevel Specified, Groove Weld Size Not Specified.
